Recorded in Ibiza, facing the sea, this new album, calm and serene, develops a vast sound...
...opening onto symphonic horizons. Leaving ample room for acoustic instruments such as guitars, piano, flutes, percussions, the duo worked with a string quartet on arrangements that give cinematic scope to several of the album's titles.
In keeping with the tradition of the psychedelic music of the seventies, the major influence, the onethey grew up under, combined with the maturity they have acquired, the titles are mixed together in the manner of a concept album illustrating the universe of Elea, where ethereal sounds wind in and out of vocal harmonies, revisited by modern technologies a la Massive Attack or Air.
From the atmosphere inspired by Pink Floyd or Tangerine Dream, to a creative 'chill out' with ethnic shades, 'Strange World' reveals a dreamlike vision of landscapes, an 'ambient' universe where organic sounds cross with areas of weightlessness.

In January 2007 Sundial changed their name to
Sundial Aeon and the result of new work is the
amazing album 'Apotheosis'.
Sundial Aeon was formed since Autumn 2005 in
Poland by creative ideas of one Aural Planet's
artists Raiden/Radoslaw Kochman, Daniel
Lulkowski/Dan (Hoyden Space) and two other
musicians, Jaroslaw Jacek/Giku and Patryk
Gegniewicz/Revisq (both from the Electronic Act
Itoa).
Since autumn 2006 Vladislav Isaev/Scann-Tec
joined Sundial as a full time musician and band
DJ. Sundial Aeon music is already used in many
projects like games, multimedia presentations,
websites, tv and radio jingles, spots and has
been released on acclaimed Iboga Recs sub label
Sofa Beats (Denmark), Chillcode Recs (Germany),

Gel-Sol is Seattle based producer/musician Andrew Reichel, whose dichotomous sound spans from ambient soundscapes to complex, rhythmic electronica, creating a dynamic psychedelic universe with heavy emphasis on improvisation. Influences range from 70s prog and kraut rock to electronic and psychedelic. In 2004, Gel-Sol released the critically-acclaimed Gel-Sol 1104 (aka Music Made For You... And By You, I Mean Me.) on the UK's cult ambient label Em:t Records. 'Unifactor', the follow-up album, [and first Gel-Sol album to be released on Upstairs Recordings] continues the tradition of his unique, amorphous sound collages. Often compared to the Orb and Future Sound of London we're sure you'll agree that the Gel-Sol sound is all its own.

1984 saw Alex Scheffer entering the world of machines. Aged 10 he received
his first machine from his mother and father, respectively pianist and
drummer, a Juno 106 Roland. At that time, student at the Conservatoire, he
started looking at LFOs and filters. His favourite instruments remain
keyboards and especially the piano, an instrument which he will get back to at
13 when entering the Jazz section at the Conservatoire of ChambВry (73).
His growing interest for machines and electronic music enticed him to listen
to artists such as Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, John Cage, Peter
Gabriel.
Convinced that a fusion of styles is fundamental, Alex decided at 16 to look
into Pop-Electro fusion. He took part in several bands as keyboard player and
arranger, his main function being to mingle and mix electronic sounds into
Pop-Rock atmospheres.
After his Acoustic Engineer studies, Alex definitely made a turn towards
electronic music. While collaborating with different directors he got to carry
out all types of orders. Original soundtracks for advertising, short films,
catwalk and even contemporary dance for which he wrote more than an hour of
music.

A nice and relaxing track by Tom and Gijs starts the cd, to be continued by Siebzehn, a german producer that has no problem writing beautiful music. He delivers 3 lovely tracks. Prosect from Israel is a famous name on the scene already with an album under the name sound field. He brings us a orientally influenced track which becomes a little upbeat in the end.
Moravec is another promising Dutch producer. This track has a lovely gentle hypnotic chilled out vibe to it. Next is Organix, a duo from Amsterdam that focused on a progressive sound but lately start to make some more chill out tracks as well. They are fully dedicated to producing music and are doing a good job. Their track makes you wanna swim and glide Last but not least is Samorost, a Costa Rican producer that surely doesn't have a problem to put emotion in his music. A very relaxing track to end the musical journey.
